Although there are various interception systems for law enforcement in the PSTN network, there is still no fully developed, standard interception scheme for VoIP. With VoIP becoming widespread, crimes committed using it is becoming a serious issue. Because it's cheap and convenient, VoIP has gotten more popular than PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) and has become an important communication tool. VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is technology used to transmit voice data by compressing it into smaller packets and decompressing it on the other side.
